सुनो..
यूं तो चाय पसंद है मुझे कॉफी से ज्यादा
पर आज दिल ने कहा..
क्यूँ ना आज एक कप गर्म कॉफ़ी की चुस्की ली जाए
तो आज इस नर्म धूप में
तेरे पसंद की गर्म कॉफी ले कर बैठ गई बरामदे में
अपनी पसंदीदा किताब के साथ..

वही किताब जो दिया था तुमने मुझे
हमारी उस मुलाक़ात में
जब हमारी दोस्ती को हमने
इजहार-ए- मोहब्बत के बाद
इक नया नाम दिया था
याद है वो मुलाक़ात
तुम लेकर आये थे ये किताब
जब हमारी बातों में तुम्हारे सामने ज़ाहिर हुई थी ये बात
कि शौक है मुझे बहुत किताबों का
तब शायद बहुत चुनकर..
या उसमें लिखे अल्फ़ाज़ो को कै दफ़ा पढकर
हर तरह से परख कर
कि ये तोहफा काश मुझे पसंद आ जाए…
और देखो ना तब से
ये किताब मेरी पसंदीदा बन गई
हां माना ये बहुत अच्छी है बहुत ही बेहतर है
पर मेरे लिए बेहतरीन बन गई
क्योंकि तुमने इसे मेरे लिए पसंद किया
इक लगाव है इससे, कुछ अलग ही,
एकदम एहसास से लेबरेज़….

यूं तो तुम हमेशा होते हो मेरी यादों में मेरी बातों में
पर आज कुछ वक्त जो बैठी हूं मैं खुद के साथ
तेरे पसंद की कॉफ़ी और अपनी पसंदीदा किताब के साथ
कुछ अलग ही एहसास है ये सुकून से भरा
और अब बहती जा रही हूं मैं अपने नाम के अनुरूप सरिता सी ही उन गुजरी हसीन यादों के संग,
और तू साथ है मेरे इस कॉफ़ी की मिठास में
मेरे रूह में घुलता, मुस्कुराता हुआ
और मैं खोती हुई अपनी किताब में
तुझ संग, तेरी ही मोहब्बत की खुशबू में कहीं…

शराब सा झूमता हूं
ज़रा सम्भल कर याद आया करो मुझे,
कहीं मेरी आदत ना लग जाये तुझे
