Reservation

RESERVATION
We ask for a reservation, but why the need?
Everyone wants it, they all plead.
Have we lost faith in what we can do?
The days of needing help are through.
Now we stand strong, self-sufficient, and bold,
No longer weak, no stories untold.
We can take care, no longer in pain,
Not crippled or broken, no longer in a chain.
To me, reservation feels like a shame,
A mark that weakens my name.
I am capable, strong, and free,
Reservation does not define me.

Reservation
The term Reservation was highlighted by Dr.Bhim Rao Ambedkar in India. But the process of reservation was not fair ,as it focused on caste based reservation rather than economic conditions of the people. In all castes ,there are the people who are very rich and even the people of below the poverty line too .As we all know that “Poverty has no boundaries.Poverty exists in each and every caste whether of SC,ST Dalits or even in general.Economic conditions criteria benefits must be provided to equally to all the castes of people .It must not only to specified for SC or Because the reality is that ,there are people who even didn’t get a meal in a day in our society ,but the focus of this system was only on the caste which focused only to specify people, instead of focusing on all the needy people.Even ,when Dr.B.R.Ambedkar came up with the plan of reservation system or the caste based reservation system .Many nationalist leaders argued with him on the system such as Mahatma Gandhi and they even highlighted the point of reservation on the basis of economic conditions of the needy people in all the castes.Weaker sections are there in every caste of the society.Dr.B.R Ambedkar only fixed the reservation for specific years but it is still prevailing in our country, which creates troubles for all of us.

“Shadows of a Lost Future”

In the crucible of youth, where dreams are forged,
A spark ignites, and talents emerge.
Like wildfire, passion sweeps the soul,
And visions of greatness begin to unfold.

But whispers creep, like winter’s chill,
“Doubt your worth, your voice stands still.”
Fear’s dark veil shrouds the inner flame,
Talents tremble, hearts lose their aim.

Society’s chains, a weighty bane,
Bind creativity, stifling the brain.
Comparison’s poison spreads its stain,
Unique voices whisper, “I’m not enough to sustain.”

Lost in life’s haze, youthful struggles roam,
Seeking validation, fleeting homes.
Wrong turns taken, paths untried,
Regrets gathered, like autumn’s leaves divide.

Peer pressure’s subtle, insidious sway,
Influences choices, night and day.
“Fit in, conform, don’t stand apart,”
A talented soul, lost in the heart.

Educational gates, where merit’s scorned,
Reservation’s bias, talent unborn.
Deserving minds, left behind bars,
While lesser skills receive undeserved stars.

A system born to uplift the oppressed,
Now misused, causing talent to repress.
Meant to empower, now a weighty chain,
Crushing dreams, and driving talent insane.

The system fails, with biassed eyes,
Ignoring potential, disappointed sighs.
Talents wasted, like autumn’s leaves,
Unfulfilled dreams, in sorrow’s eaves.

Yet, amidst the noise, a spark remains,
A glimmer of hope, through life’s pains.
For every talent, a chance to revive,
To rise above, and let their spirit thrive.

Self-belief, a flame, that flickers bright,
Don’t let others dim your inner flame.
Rise above, the noise and the fray,
And let your talent lead the way.

But when talents fail, and hopes despair,
Some turn to darkness, beyond repair.
Alcohol, crime, or worse, the grave,
A life undone, a talent lost, a soul enslaved.

And so we ask, with hearts that ache,
Does this system safeguard youth’s fate?
Shouldn’t talent, not caste, be defined?
One country, one rule, no reservation’s shrine?
