Today’s Need:- Violence/Non-Violence

“We have to foster a growth mindset towards planting seeds of mutual respect and admiration for any fellow human being .Until we culture an environment of building Peace as an instrument of Change,we cannot be progressive in our thoughts and intentions. Non Violence and Transparency are imperative to build a vision that is driven to drive transformation. This indeed fosters Compassion. Compassion enhances personal well-being by a deep seated sense of purpose, connection, and self-esteem. It contributes to a more peaceful and just society by promoting inclusivity, understanding, and action towards renaissance of the mind first .”

Violence / Non-Violence
When I protest against marital rape,
Am I the one who should be accused of violence?
When I strike back at those who hurl lewd words,
Do I embody violence?
What truly defines this thing called violence?
When acid was thrown upon my face,
I waited for voices to be raised for me,
For someone to act on my behalf—
Was this the face of non-violence?
When I was raped, over and again,
And my voice was silenced by fear,
Was it non-violence, as I hoped in vain
For justice to come, for someone to care?
Tell me, what is this peace you preach?
I ask you all who label me “violent.”
When I rise to confront the wrongs done to me,
You name me violent, and my cause unjust.
But when I wait and stay silent,
Non-violence shackles me, bound by the law,
And by the weight of public opinion.
Now I stand at my wit’s end—
Is it right to be violent or to be still?
Tell me, if you can:
What should I be—violent, or non-violent?
