So about Karva Chauth it depend person to person. Whether one wanna keep it or not..
Because rituals are effect less if followed forcefully..

Should the husband also keep a fast?
Yes, why not, this generation is sharing all the responsibilities and duties equally. But if we talk about ancient time society that was based on patriarchal culture, it was the duty of women to perform all these rituals.
Here Karwachauth is the fast for a long life and gets rid of evils and barriers coming in the way of a life partner. It is not strict that women should only keep fast, the husband also wants their wife to live with him until the last breath. Some people think that it is the culture followed for years, and how can we change it, but the situation is different from men’s we’re the chief of the house, who make all the decisions alone. But nowadays it’s different both the people are fulfilling each other responsibility when in need. Even for some people if the husband is supportive, caring, and understanding that is enough not this fast.
After, all this it’s the wish of the husband to fast for her wife or not
But many of the husbands keep fast for their lovely wives. Karwachauth is not just a festival but an emotion. Karwachauth is a festival of making the life partner safe and live for years whether it be the wife or husband.
Husbands should keep fast for their wives, not even the husband’s father should keep fast for their child because it’s not only the duty of a mother.
Both are parents and share equal responsibilities for the child.
