Train Journey Vs Flight Journey
शीर्षक : बचपन था रेल सा, जवानी हवाई जहाज़ है
धीरे धीरे रेल के जैसे , गुजरी बचपन की कहानी
तेज़ रफ्तार हवाई जहाज सी , बीत रही है जवानी
खेत खलियान पहाड़ नदिया , दृश्य कितने प्यारे थे
बचपन की आंखों से देखो , तो सारे हसीन नज़ारे थे
नज़ारे तो नहीं है अब पर , समय बहुत ही अनमोल है
हवाई जहाज की गति के आगे , रेल का डब्बा गोल है
जवानी को खुलकर जीता कभी बचपन में खो जाता हूँ
कभी हवाई जहाज़ से उड़ता , कभी रेल में सो जाता हूँ
नन्हे दांत भी अच्छे ही थे , जवान दाढ़ी भी अच्छी है
हवाई जहाज भी अच्छा है , रेल गाड़ी भी अच्छी है

A train ride holds a place in my heart. The experience becomes more enriching when I’m accompanied by my loved ones. I vividly remember a trip to Lakhimpur Kheri, my uncles house during summer vacations with my family. This journey was incredibly significant for me as it marked the time I ventured beyond my hometown. Watching people cross the train tracks witnessing the race between trains and bikes and seeing children bid farewell with waves made the experience truly unforgettable.
When comparing it to air travel there is a joy in sitting by the window and immersing myself in natures beauty. Nevertheless my first flight experience was equally remarkable as I embarked on a honeymoon adventure with my husband. This journey held significance since it wasn’t my first international travel but also an unforgettable milestone shared with my life partner.
Ultimately it’s not about the journey or the mode of transportation we choose. It’s, about the stories woven into each journey that truly make them beautiful.”

पापा ने कराया मुझे परिचित रेलगाड़ियों से
वो जीवन भर सफर करते रहे रेलगाड़ियों में..
अब ठहरना पड़ा है उनको.. भला यात्राओं का अंत कहाँ.
ये जीवन भी तो एक लम्बी यात्रा है मैंने
हवाई जहाज देखा है अभी जमीन से आसमान तक..
जिसमे सफर ही नहीं किया उस पर क्या लिखू..
पर रेलगाड़ी पसंद है मुझे..
यात्राएं सुखद होती है अगर सफर में साथी रेल हो तो..
उसका इंतज़ार करना.. जल्दी से सीट पर बैठने की होड़
या मेरी पसंदीदा जगह खिड़की के पास बैठना..
सब दिमाग़ में तरोंताज़ा है..
रेल की यात्राओं में मैंने हवाओं से बातें की..
एक लम्बी उड़ान भरी फलक तक..
जैसे हवाई जहाज उड़ता होगा….
रेलगाड़ियों में अजनबी भी परिचित बन गए.. पर यात्राएं
जहाँ भी हो अंत में मुझे तुम तक ही पहुंचना है…
यात्राओं में मैं जी रही होती हूँ और
तुम साथ में चल रहे होते हो..
और रेलगाड़ी मेरी यात्राएं सफल बना रही होती है.
मेरा बचपन पापा और रेलगाड़ी सब मेरी यात्राओं का हिस्सा हैं…

Amidst the rhythmic dance of wheels on track,
Or soaring high where clouds converge and stack,
Two paths unfold, each with its own embrace,
A train journey’s charm, a flight’s swift chase.
In trains, the world outside unfolds with grace,
Through meadows green or cities’ bustling pace,
A window to life’s canvas, ever-changing view,
A tranquil ride, with scenes both old and new.
Yet flights bear dreams on wings of steel and air,
Above the Earth’s expanse, where eagles dare,
A fleeting voyage to distant lands unknown,
In hours what took days, history overthrown.
So choose your voyage, be it rail or sky,
The journey’s magic in moments passing by,
Both hold allure, both a tale to tell,
In train’s lullaby or flight’s soaring swell.
