दहेज दहेज एक सामाजिक बुराई है जो कि घरेलू हिंसा को बढ़ावा देती है ।क्या हममे से किसी ने सोचा है कि दहेज की माँग अक्सर वर पक्ष की ओर से ही क्यों किया जाता है ?वधू पक्ष की ओर से क्यों नहीं? तो इसके पीछे कहीं ना कहीं समाज की रूढ़िवादी मानसिकता का ही हाथ है । समाज में रूढ़िवादी लोगों ने ही इस सोच को जन्म दिया है।जिसका खामियाजा बेटियों बहुओं को भुगतना पड़ता है।एक अमीर पिता की जब बेटी होती है तो मानो की वह अपनी बेटी को किसी राजकुमारी से कम प्यार नहीं करता ।वह तो अपनी बेटी को दहेज में सब कुछ दे सकता है ,अपनी बेटी की शादी बड़ी धूमधाम से करता है।क्योंकि उनके पास पैसा है।यही सोच जब कोई गरीब पिता रखता है तो पिता की पूरी जिंदगी केवल बेटी की शादी के खर्चे और उसे दहेज देने को लेकर जो कुछ कठिनाइयां का सामना करना पड़ता हैं उसमें उन्हें कितनी तकलीफ होती है कितना दर्द सहना पड़ता है । यहां तक कि मरते दम तक वे कर्जो का बोझ चुकाते हैं।एक अमीर पिता और एक गरीब पिता की कहानी कहने से मेरा यह आशय है कि केवल दिखावे की होंढ में आकर में आकर एक गरीब आदमी अपनी सुनहरी जिंदगी को किसी के कर्ज के बोझ में न डुबोएं।और शादी जैसे पवित्र बंधन को किसी दहेज या पैसों की आवश्यकता नहीं पड़ती। बेटियों को अमीर घर में ब्याहने या दहेज देने के सपने को छोड़कर उन्हें पढ़ा लिखा कर कुछ बनाने का सपना देखें। धन्यवाद

अक्ल पिछड़ी रखते हैं।
लेने को भी तैयार
देने की भी मंजूरी देते हैं।
अपने बच्चों के परवरिश का हिसाब रख अच्छी रकम लेते हैं।
कितनी छोटी सोच रखते हैं।
उनके लालच से भरा मन समझने लगीं हैं।
दहेज के खिलाफ आवाज़ें उठने लगी हैं।

No money in this world can equal to a girl , she is a pride of her father , enlightenment to the offsprings yet you demand a girl along with money?
She comes to a new home with several dreams to gain love from her husband she makes it home with her own hands by nurturing a house with love care making it home yet you demand money along with her?
Thousand bones breaks you cant imagine the pain she goes through when she gives birth. She has the power to bring a new life in this world ,
Women is ” janani”, in a land were Devi is worshipped, yet you want money along with a women.
A women is a goddess in her own self no money can value her . Dowry is just a name given to your greed , she does not need such insult from you.

Such a demeaning word
Akin to termites
Licking away at the society structure
Breaking the back bones of millions of parents of girl children
Asking for dowry is as good as begging , a social evil with deep roots
We all know …so no use pretending.
Unless grooms decline with conviction
Dowry would never ever see its eviction.
All grooms need to have a strong spine support
So that death due to dowry
Could be thwarted with force.

कहते थे जिसे कभी दहेज,
आज समाज उसे फर्ज कहेगा,
क्या है मांग आपकी, आज भी हर बेटी का पिता कहेगा,
वो पल पल दुनिया से रूप बदल छुपता रहेगा l
चाहिए हमें ना कुछ और सिवा तेरे,
हर कोई ये आज कहेगा,और फिर
साथ लाया ही क्या है तूने,
ताना ये उम्र भर कसेगा,
वो पल-पल दुनिया से रूप बदल छुपता रहेगा l
स्त्री स्वाभिमान का मोल वस्तु से लगेगा,
हर बेटी का बाप स्वर्ण कर्ज तले,आज भी मिलेगा,
वो पल-पल दुनिया से रूप बदल छुपता रहेगा l
आज भी, कल भी स्त्री ज्ञान से बढ़कर, दहेज रहेगा
हर दौर में लालचियों का यही व्यापार बनेगा,
है भार बेटी मुझ पर, हर पिता ये कहता मिलेगा,
वो पल पल दुनिया से रूप बदल छुपता रहेगा l
