Success
Sailing on a ship with endless waves of water, hitting the vessel.
When a gush of water splashes on the face,
where one has lost all hopes to see land.
And to my terror the ship wrecks,
and the vast mighty ocean is what is seen;
Then after much struggle one sees land,
seems as if God has come.
This is success something that man always craves to have.

तलाश में जिसके हम सब व्याकुल घूम रहे।
पा के भी देखा उसको उतनी भी हसीन नहीं है।
बहुत कुर्बानी देनी पड़ती है ख़ामोशी में
तन्हाइयों को गले लगाना पड़ता है
यूं ही वो हमारे घर नहीं आती।
“कामयाबी” सारी खुशी न दे जाती।
जुदा हैं कामयाबी के मायने सबके लिए।
कोई नोटों के ढेर में पाए
कोई विदेश में बसने में पाए
और कोई अपनी मोहब्बत के संग
जिंदगानी बिताने में पाए।
पर फिर भी कुछ न कुछ छूटता जाए
पाने की चाहत में काफ़ी कुछ खोता जाए।
नशा है वो एक जो बस चढ़ता ही जाए
उतरने के लिए कोई वजह भी न पाए।

लेके मां का आर्शीवाद निकला था मैं दुनिया को जीतने।
है सब कुछ तो पा लिया, बस अब मां से कोसों दूर रहता हूं ।
कहूं खुद को सफ़ल या अभागा कहूं मैं, हर रोज़ दिल इसी मलाल में रहता है।
कहां जानता था मैं , की सफ़लता की इतनी बड़ी कीमत चुकानी होगी।
जिसके चेहरे पे खुशी लाने को था सब किया, अब वो चेहरा बस Mobile में दिखता है।
काश ये सफलता की शाम अपनों के बीच में ढलती, ये दिन हर रोज़ इसी मलाल में कटता है।
